Study in Malaysia 2026: The Complete Guide for Bangladeshi Students
Universities, programs, costs, the EMGS visa process and the intake calendar — everything you need before applying to Malaysia.
Why Malaysia
Malaysia offers QS-ranked universities at roughly 40 to 60 percent of the cost of the UK or Australia, taught entirely in English, three and a half hours from Dhaka.
What it costs
Tuition runs between BDT 5 and 10 lakh a year depending on the university and programme. Living costs add another BDT 3 to 5 lakh.
The visa process
Malaysian student visas run through EMGS. Once you accept an offer letter, the university submits the EMGS application; approval usually takes three to eight weeks.
Intakes
Most Malaysian universities run March, July and October intakes. Applications should be submitted at least three months ahead.
